Derek volunteered to work the early shift this morning at the temple,
I cleaned the house at this time... then he took me to the beach, Taco Bell,
& THEN... to the best Princess Party I have EVER been to!
They all got to dress up at the party and sing and dance!
Swing at a pinata, jump in a bounce house, eat cake & ice cream and be super cute!

Dinner Surprises by Derek C. Williams

My sweetheart! This is just one of the MANY MANY MANY meals
he has surprised me with after a long day of work!

I just don't know.... but it smells good
Wheat pasta, vegetable tomato sauce, and grilled chicken!!
MAHN! Derek has had a few classes with Mahn, who is from Thailand... and he sold a book to Mahn at a good price and part of the deal was that Mahn make us some Thai food!
IT WAS SUCH A TREAT! & a huge surprise to me... if you didn't know, I love THAI!
He made a chicken stir fry and a green chicken curry with bamboo shoots!
Also Thai rice. That was my favorite!

MISSION REUNION ... almost

Elder Richins and Elder Williams reunited once again!
We actually got together with another one of his companions too, but I'm so mad,
I forgot to pull out the camera! So, Elder Godfrey should be in this photo too!
They couldn't stop talking about their memories and
I actually heard a few new stories myself! :D
They have a friendship that will last forever! It was fun to be there.

It's better than a Kodak Moment! They're back there again after 26 years!
Derek & I had never been inside of the SLC Temple, so we went to a session!
Once we were there I realized that it was the exact same date, 1 year later,
that I received my endowment! That was a nice bonus.
That temple is amazing! We couldn't stop looking UP!
The ceilings and everything were so detailed!
No wonder it took so long to complete. It sure was worth the wait!

THE TANK

Aaron and Shanae gave Derek a fabulous gift! A saltwater FISH TANK! They sort of ran out of room, so its ALL of ours now... we have quite the array of sea life in there! 3 Tiger Cowrie shells, hermit crabs, and other things I had to look up in a book! Sorry, I have their names written down somewhere... anywho, there are more photos to come of our new entertainment! Derek and Aaron (along with other friends) go straight to the ocean and catch fish and creatures for the tank! It's great!

This is mad max or Satan... may he rest in piece, but he was one evil lil guy. He would pick on ANYTHING in that tank! hahaha But sure was cool to watch! Unfortunately, we came out one morning to him in 2 pieces. :( The fish took care of him... I must say he probably asked for it.

All wrapped up

I work in University Advancement which includes: Communications, Special Events, Photography, Graphics, Media Productions, Alumni, and LDS Philanthropies. So, Monique is our head photographer and she is taking online classes to get her Masters in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She's taking a lighting class which assigned her to take a photo in fluorescent lighting, no other flash or tools, just the camera. Of course they are to be creative... but she asked me at work if she could take a photo of my eyes. She had to twist my arm, but I finally gave in. Monique is amazing! All of her work is great! She has an eye for these things and turns ordinary into amazing! So I was excited to see what it would turn out to be. Needless to say, I don't think my eyes have ever looked so good in a photo :D and most importantly her professor LOVED it. She was the only one in the class that did the assignment correctly. So, I hope this explanation helps you understand why I am all wrapped up... :>
