Derek loves to stick his nose in JoJo's mouth... it's a time filler til I can get her some milk! So silly.

These are photos of Jocelyn on the way to Honolulu and at Turtle Bay. The other is a model shot of Jocelyn in Brylie's Stunna Shades! Derek put them on her... i have more photos of that to come soon!

I love my little lady! She's 2 months now! And guess what! 2 nights now she has slept ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE NIGHT! 8 and 8.5 hrs! I'm hoping this will continue on forever and always. If you're thinking to yourself... not fair, how? BABY WISE. I said it before and I'll keep on saying it! ;D Buy the BOOK!

The man of the house is just doing splendid! Derek started Fall classes this last Wednesday and is looking forward to his tuffest semester yet! He's taking the Business core. I believe it's 3 business classes and to say the least it is intense! They brake up into groups and create their own business. I believe they have a goal amount of money as well... so it's going to be hard work. But in between his structured work schedule :D he's lifting and playing basketball to have some fun! As always, he keeps busy and helpful at home! Jocelyn loves to hear his voice and get his kisses!

Shanae Jones has pretty much posted all that has gone on recently... can I just say DITTO? hahaha We had SkinnyJeansRecipe Night II and everything... EVERYTHING was delish! I loved ever bite! I hope they all post the recipes soon! And then the next morning there was a miniature walkathon... not quite, but a 2 hr walk around Laie! Shanae, Angie, Kim, and I took the kiddos for a stroll. It was fabulous! I loved it! It's such a nice thing to go on a walk and not hurt! (c-section) Jocelyn loves the stroller and being outside in the sun and breeze!

Then, today Nichole, Ashlyn and I took Jocelyn to Waimea Beach for the very first time! And Matsomoto's shave ice! It was such a beautiful day! Hot sand, teal blue waves, and a sky full of clouds! The only damper was that I felt sick afterthe shave ice: from the sugar... that gestational diabetes cut back really did somethin to me! I didn't even think about that. I can't handle that. It was delish as it danced on my taste buds but the ride home... that hurt. ANYWHO, my camera isn't working so well, I will have to post some photos from this soon! It was nice to bask in the sun and have more girl time! I'm blessed to have such wonderful, supportive, helpful friends!

SO, I didn't think to blog this when it happened, it just hit me that I should! So, this is slightly old news... but CHECK THIS OUT! My BEST FRIEND Laura Aguallo is a fashion designer! (I'm so proud) She just graduated and she's thee most dedicated person I KNOW! (I'd like to think I know a lot of people too :D) She is friends and roomies with Rachel Melvin from Days of our Lives and she, Laura-my best friend(did I mention that yet)-MADE HER THIS BEAUTIFUL DRESS! Can you believe it? I was so surprised but at the same time, not! I think it is to die for gorgeous! Rachel is lucky to be able to sport such fabulous fashion to the Daytime EMMY's!!! So way to go Laura! She's had multiple fashion shows, that I haven't been able to attend, and she ceases to amaze me! It all started in high school with a tshirt and her signature. The rest is history in the making! She is the best friend a person could ask for. Willing to drop anything and everything for a friend in need. Really her friend is her family. That's how much she loves us all... and it's so easy to see that. So, my dear friends, remember her face and her name... cause you'll be wearing it soon enough! xoxox I love you babe!

sunshine, my only sunshine

7 weeks old! Time is flying by! I can tell she's going through a growth spurt... she's sleeping longer and eating a lot more! She loves to stand up! Of course while we're holding her... but she loves stretching out her legs! She had given us a few grins! We love it when she smiles. Her 2 month check up is this Friday so we shall see just how tall she is and her weight... she's getting heavier... I can feel it. She has such a cute OUTTiE belly button aka piko! It's darling! We took these photos of Jocelyn yesterday, Derek popped her collar... haha So stylish. We're looking forward to a long vacation! I sure hope she enjoys traveling! She and I are flying to LA meeting up with my mom and dad then taking off to my cousins wedding in SLC! We'll stay in Utah with my mom's side of the family and show Jocelyn off for a few days then fly back to LA. Drive up to Bakersfield-see my grandma and my dad's family there, then to Fresno we'll stay! AND THEN, we meet up with Derek and his family in Camarillo for Grandma Dearest's 80th birthday! We're so excited to see friends and family in Utah and all over California! We'll just be missing Daddy-Derek for a couple weeks! :< Not looking forward to that, but he's taking the Business Core this semester and can't get away too long! So she and I shall be a dynamic duo!
She's a fun one! We'll definitely keep her... forever!

To The SISTERHOOD!!!

What a fabulous time we had! We were like that group of junior high girls that come to the movies in a large group, sit together, giggle, laugh, cry, and probably make the rest of the crowd wanna throw popcorn at them. Ok, we weren't that bad! But it was so nice to be a girl. Watching that movie just made me think of the MANY wonderful friends I have made over the years! All the memories! All the laughs and tears we share together. And the best part is that it not over. Friends remain and we are just blessed to keep making more friends where ever we go. Each different- and yet no matter what our different backgrounds are, no matter where we hope to be going, we still have so many things in common! I'm blessed to have you all as friends... ALL of YOU reading this. I'm grateful for a movie that was able to remind me of this tender mercy!

Daddy's girl @ 6 weeks

Pushing 9 lbs, she's gettin bigger! Starting to hold her head up a better and has great eye movement. We just have to keep puttin on the pounds! We, meaning Jocelyn alone! We've done a little traveling to Kailua and Kaneohe this week and she's done a great job on our excursions. It's fun to get so many compliments about how small she is and how precious and beautiful she is... I'm glad I'm not the only one that ;D It's so fun! I really am loving being a mom! I am blessed to have Derek, a daddy that helps! He has exceeded my expectations! He WANTS to feed her! He wants to hold her and show her off! He loves talking and singing to her! He just loves her so much and is doing a great job showing it! He has also really helped in the SLEEPING area... He'll take the 5-7am shift (she'll wake up somewhere in there, usually 630am) and that gives me a chance to sleep for a few hours straight! Ladies and LADIES! I have to tell you that you need to get the book On Becoming BABY WISE! It has helped us get a schedule and to understand and just ... well, read it! I love that book! I was doing a few things backwards and it straightened me out. Feed, wake, sleep. Putting her in her crib even if she didn't fall asleep in my arms... she's learning to soothe herself to sleep.

We had our first SCENTED diaper today! OH SNAP! ha ha Daddy helped give her a bath... it was really fun! This afternoon we were hanging out watching Oprah and testing out this new blanket she received... isn't it pretty! It conveniently went well with her dress [which is still a lil big, but come on, it's fun to try something else besides onesies... she's still so little!] Enjoy this photos of 6 week old Jocelyn and her daddy! My nose is sore from all the TISSUES! I really am unsure what this is and for that matter, where it came from but I am NOT exactly enjoying this! AND you bet I'm trying everything to NOT spread it to my little one! That would be horrid! ... of course I don't want Derek to get it either! ;D
But thank heavens for soap, hand sanitizer [lavender scent-thanks Shanae], and orange juice! SO look out... tissues are a flyin!

"I don't even know who Skinny Jeans is!"

There we were... just swapping recipes and taste testing some amazing dishes... then, as expected, we ladies began to chat. Time FLIES when you put a good 12 ladies together! We were all discussing how we should all go see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 together and Shanae mentioned that we would have to wait until next we when she gets back... Back from where we asked, her 10 year high school reunion. Then we all started talking about who else was close to their 10 year or I think the lowest was 4 years out... any who, Stefanie started telling this funny conversation she had with the Rondo's and how they asked her what kinda person she was in high school and they said, "Oh, like Avril?" She laughed because Avril wasn't around when she was in high school, then they asked, so did you wear skinny jeans and stuff? THEN OUTTA NO WHERE Shanae says, "I don't even know WHO skinny jeans is!" HAHAHA We all busted up laughing ... like it was a joke, but I looked over at Shanae and she was dead serious. I placed my hand on her knee and said, "Sweetie. You know- the style of jeans... it's not a group!"

Anyways, it made for lots of fun and laughter...
