FRIENDS
Meet the JONES family... well, actually, you probably know them or have heard plenty about them here on my blog. They're our friends/ohana from BYU-Hawaii. Krew and JoJo are only 3 months apart and have fun playing together! But OF COURSE girls always stick together, so Jocelyn and Kali have become super cute fun friends! The Jones' just moved to Logan, UT only about 1 hr north of us. So we surprised them with our first visit shortly after they moved in and we just went and hung out last weekend. Shanae took all these pictures so I stole them from her!
We went to the Logan temple, which was our first time seeing it. Derek & I even got to go through and do a session! What a treat! The kiddos had TOO much fun on that big grassy hill!
rollin, rollin, rollin...
Then, Derek had heard about this Dairy place so we went and tried it out: pretty good stuff
Then to Adams park right by the Jones' home. ALWAYS some fun to be had with slides around
my sister from another mister
Shanae! She was kind enough to take some prego photos of me this last weekend. I didn't take any while I was prego with JoJo, just some my dad took randomly at a garden... but I treasure those because I can see what I looked like, I can hold it over JoJo's head someday, JK! And I know how much I love looking at pictures of my mommy when she was prego with me. It's a special lil thing. So I'm glad it was captured... even though it's not fun seeing myself large and in charge! I'm turning into a marshmallow again. Lots of water! But HEY. That's what it's all about.
SiLLi KiDDoS!
Derek and the three explored the woods that just happened to be only 10 minutes away from the Jones' place. I see us going there again in the near future... many times! :>
This girl! I sure do love her! Every lil bit of her... even the sassy parts!
34 weeks pregnant
UPDATES:
Sorry, I'm not more on top of sharing my pregnancy updates. The highlights:
After taking the Glucose test I had record breaking high blood sugars. So they emitted me into the hospital until they could figure out the perfect amount of insulin to balance me out. I was there 3 days and 2 nights. I missed Jocelyn & Derek! It was the longest I have ever been away from JoJo! Kinda crazy. I was able to see them, they did come visit but only for a lil while a day. I was lucky to have Derek's Mom, Christy, in town to spend those days with JoJo. And thanks to my friends that filled in and watched her as well! You're all lifesavers. This all happened at my 26th week. Since then, I've been giving myself insulin shots and poking and pricking my fingers 4 times a day, 2 hr after every meal and right when I wake up. All to make sure I am in balance. I did have gestational diabetes with Jocelyn but it was NOT this bad. I was able to just monitor the carbs I ate to balance it out. I've learned a lot about diabetes. And for the record... it's not just taking away sweets. Carbs are anything that become sugars, that's fruit, bread, pasta, milk! So ALL those things I have to monitor the amount I consume. Fun? No. But it's my life.
I've had 2 additional ultrasounds and am not having a weekly Non Stress Test, to monitor that the babies heart is healthy and strong and to make sure she doesn't get too big. At 31 weeks, she was in the 75% ile for size. So yes, bigger than average but still normal. They aren't worried. My doctor moved my due date from July 3rd to June 28th, so she shall arrive within the month! I'm just trying to make sure it's NOT on Jocelyn's bday, the 25th!
I'm hoping for a VBAC but I can only do that if I go into labor on my own... if I need to be induced then I will have to have another c-section. I feel very confident in my choice of a doctor and the hospital I'll be at: Intermountain Medical Center! They're taking very good care of me! Meanwhile, I'm just trying to hang in there and soak up some Zzz's before this lil angel is in our arms. I'm so excited. I think it will be a big change for Jocelyn, but I am optimistic she'll be thrilled. She's always kissing my tummy and giving here "baby sister" high 5's. Derek's been the best hubby! He's been sensitive to my emotions and slight inability to do all I use to. He's so patient and loving! I'm so blessed! We look forward to extending our family! xox
